Youtube Workouts

So “Nemo” has arrived and I did not have a fun commute home from work today. Anytime I have to drive in the snow I have a mini panic attack, not so much for the fact that I don’t know how to drive in the snow but that the cars around me do not. Regardless I made it home and am now ready to be snowed in!

When it is snowing outside the first thing to do is order take-out 🙂 I had a baked roasted red pepper and fresh mozzarella sub with balsamic. Delicious! And of course a glass of the fine Finger Lakes wine to compliment. As research says, red wine may be heart healthy when it is drank in moderation.

Now, with the weather being all snowy I don’t really feel like going out to the gym to exercise. This is where youtube videos can be the perfect substitute for an exercise class and provide a great at home workout. By searching around you can really find a wide variety of classes from Cross Fit to Yoga to Zumba. If you do three 10 minute videos then you meet the recommended CDC guidelines for health benefits.

Here are a few of my favorites:

1) The Butt Blaster

2) Arm Circuit

3) Fat Blasting Circuit

4) Legs

5) Pilates

If you are snowed in this weekend, try one or two!, of the above workouts or find your own exercise video on youtube and post it below! Remember even though Nemo is here, “just keep swimming”!

  1. Love these ideas! I started Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred yesterday and fully intend to do the 30 day cycle. I can’t complain about the snow, but the air is so chilly outside it really is hard to go out and run. Not to mention, I need to change up my routine a bit. I run allllll the time. Change is good. Stay safe, gf!

    • I know what you mean, I try to find other things to do besides running, even though its so easy to fit it! I’ve been wanting to try the 30-day Shred or Insanity workout. You’ll have to let me know how it goes after you finish it!
