Meatless Middays

In America we tend to overdo it on our meat portions. Instead of meat being a side it typically ends up as the entree. While meat is a good source of protein, it can also provide unnecessary fat and cholesterol. This is why it is best to eat meat in moderation and to choose lean, low fat options most of the time. Today I’m rocking the meatless midday meal of potato soup, hummus, carrots, and clementine. I’m still getting some protein from the hummus but I’m forgoing the saturated fat and cholesterol found in meat.
